Fished the new x4 for the first time this week on Lake Ontario. Great unit with steady speed and temp readings at rigger depths over 180 ft. I will be replacing my 840 soon with the new X4.
The X4 is buy far the most user friendly and easy to read with the lager numbers and the cool blue backlight. The X4 is very easy to make accurate adjustments with the soft keys and takes up less room on the dash. The back ward compatability is great for users that already have a fish hawk and want to upgrade to the new and better X4.
I have a fish hawk on my boat, and I think its the greatest tool ever. If I had to sum it up in one sentence, fishing without a fish hawk is like fishing without hooks.
